Mayor Milton Hill was born in Oxford Mississippi. He graduated from Appoka High School. in 1962.He moved to Coleman in 1999, a retired Professional Fire Fighter of 28 years with 3 teaching certificates. He was the 1977-78 Fire Fighter of the year for the State of Florida. He was also the Sumter County Emergency Management Director from 1995 - 2007, and was the District 5 L.E.P.C. (Local Emergency Planning Council) Chairman for 10 years.

Council President Richard L. Huff moved from Salem, Illinois in 1969 to Clermont, Florida where he was in the building business and was a real estate broker. He served on the Clermont City Council from 1984 - 1988. Richard received his B.A. in chemistry from Southern Illinois University in 1969. He and his wife Barbara moved from Clermont to Coleman in September of 1997. He taught Adult Education at Lake Sumter Community College from 2002 - 2011. He was the Vice President of the Republican Executive Committee of Sumter County, served as State Committeeman for Sumter County and the past President of the Sumter County Republican Club. He is in his second term on the Coleman City Council and has been elected Council President each year.

Council Member Bigham (Not Pictured) is a life-long resident of the City of Coleman.  She is an artist and a cattle rancher.  She has been on the Coleman City Council for twenty (20) years.  She has also served on the Withlacoochee Regional Planning Council and the Sumter County Planning & Zoning Board.

Brian Marx

Brian Marx and his family have been a residents of the City of Coleman for the past 11 yrs. Mr. Marx works as a Line Maintenance Tech for Bright House Networks now call Spectrum. He has been providing the resident of Sumter County with quality TV and Internet service for the past 15 yrs. Brian is serving his first term as a City Council Member. His goal as a Council Member is to listen to the resident and help find a sensible solution to improve our City.

Council Member Charles Felton is a life long resident of the City of Coleman. He graduated from Wildwood High School in 1971. He was one of the football stars that won the 1970 State Football Championship. Charles Felton has served on the Coleman City Council for 41/2 years. He served as Council Vice President in 2014.

Council Vice President L Clay Godwin is a life long resident of the City of Coleman. He graduated from Wildwood High School in 1980, and served in the United States Navy. Clay was elected as City Clerk for 3 terms. He is in his second term as Coleman City Council, serving 2 years as Council Vice President.
